Xi Zhou is a photographer based in New York. Her work includes still images and experimental videos. She studies photography in the school of visual arts, her work often exploring the details of ordinary life, her documentary practice sits at the intersection of both observational and staged photography.

On the last day of 2021, also known as new year’s eve, I walked with my camera in this town called “Truth or Consequences”. A wild place as its name. There were no people on the streets, no cars, no noise, like if all humans had disappeared without chaos. “Dusk and Fantasy” presents this world apocalyptic scene, which can be peaceful and colorful, with no sadness.
