On April 5, 2025, Time Warp will return to its spiritual home at Maimarkt Mannheim, once again confirming its status as a cult event for the global electronic music scene. With five floors, 42 artists, and 19 hours of uninterrupted music, the event is not just a celebration of techno and house but a true collective ritual where every participant becomes part of an ever-evolving family.
Time Warp is unlike any other festival. Since 1994, it has masterfully blended tradition and innovation, creating an immersive experience that transcends music and transforms into a total sensory journey. Each edition is a moving work of art, where sound, light, and architecture intertwine in a hypnotic flow. In 2025, Mannheim will once again welcome an exceptional cast: from pioneers Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Sven Väth, and Ricardo Villalobos to the new leaders of the scene like Charlotte de Witte, Amelie Lens, Indira Paganotto, Nina Kraviz, DJ Heartstring, and Patrick Mason. Also featured are icons such as Black Coffee, Jamie Jones, Seth Troxler, and Pan-Pot, alongside emerging talents like Clara Cuvé, Chloé Caillet, Adiel, Anfisa Letyago, HAAi, Daria Kolosova, Seebase, and Syreeta. A diverse mix of sounds will make this edition unforgettable.
For many artists, Time Warp is not just an event but a defining chapter in their careers. Seebase, a resident since 1996, has witnessed the evolution of the event and embodies its most authentic spirit. Artists like Patrick Mason, Daria Kolosova, and Adiel also consider Time Warp a second home, a place where they can express themselves without compromise. Adiel recalls her first set at Time Warp as a transformative experience: “I felt a unique energy, an audience to connect with on an almost spiritual level. This is what makes Time Warp special: it’s not just a festival, but a place where connections are made and last over time.” Patrick Mason also emphasizes the importance of the community formed within Time Warp: “Every time I play here, I feel a collective vibration that is hard to put into words. It’s pure magic, an energy that flows through you and takes you beyond.”
Anfisa Letyago shares a similar sentiment, recalling her debut at Time Warp in New York: “I was extremely excited and unsure how to manage these strong emotions, but once I started playing, everything felt right. The unique energy of the festival and its audience allowed me to perform at my best. It was an unforgettable experience!” She also highlights the strong sense of belonging within the Time Warp family: “Beyond being welcomed in the best way possible every time I play, there’s a deep mutual respect and friendship that makes me feel truly part of this project.” For her, the track that encapsulates the essence of Time Warp is Loop by LFO vs. F.U.S.E., an iconic record that instantly brings the festival to mind.
Indira Paganotto also reflects on the connections Time Warp has created in her life: “First, I have to talk about the team and people behind Time Warp. They operate like a family, with so much passion for music and creating unforgettable experiences—not just for the crowd, but for every DJ who plays. This kind of relationship makes you excited to come back every year.” She also fondly remembers meeting two close friends, Luna and Melis, at her first Time Warp: “They have such a pure vibe, and I love having them at our shows.” Her choice for a defining Time Warp track? Her own remix for Depeche Mode, which she played for the first time at the festival.
Héctor Oaks recalls a defining moment from Time Warp São Paulo: “I played the closing set, and I remember everyone from the crew and friends dancing behind me. It was such a great energy. Afterward, I stayed with the team, and it turned into an epic party. That experience really solidified my connection with the Time Warp crew.” He emphasizes the meticulous planning and passion that make the festival stand out: “Nothing is left to chance. The production, the sound system—everything pushes artists to deliver their best.” A special track for him? One he played in São Paulo at a higher BPM, perfectly capturing the festival’s unique energy.
Adiel cherishes her 2021 debut in Mannheim: “Opening Floor 1 and watching it fill up in an hour is something I’ll never forget.” She admires Time Warp’s passion and professionalism, and when asked about the track that embodies its spirit, she selects The Plan by 4 Bit Logic, played by Richie Hawtin during his legendary DE9 Transitions set at Time Warp 2005: “I’ve watched that set at least 50 times, and it still captures everything Time Warp is about.”
David Löhlein also shares a deeply personal Time Warp memory: “The first time I played was unforgettable. I shared the stage with my best friend Leo, aka VELA, and we performed our track Neverland, which was literally born out of the friendship we built through the Time Warp crew years earlier. Dropping it there felt like everything—friends, music, and that raw TW vibe—collided into one perfect moment.” He sees Time Warp as a community built on genuine connections, both on and off the dancefloor: “That shared spirit of living every second to the fullest—rebellious yet intimately connected—is what makes it such a unique family.”
