A dialogue between body and nature, where clothing becomes more than just an aesthetic expression—it turns into a medium of interaction. Can a garment be an extension of nature? Can an outfit be a temporary shelter, an architectural form that evolves with the wearer?
C41 presents Temporary Structures, an editorial produced by students of NID New Institute of Design: Lorenzo Ambrogioni, Paola Carbone, Benedetta Cirilli, Francesco Nardi, and Giulia Terenziani, in collaboration with the fashion brand Via Piave 33—worked under the guidance of Professors Vincent Urbani and Elisa Sedoni as a part of Master in Styling and Fashion Photography. NID New Institute of Design is a leading institution recognized for its innovative approach to fashion, photography, and communication, located in Perugia, a city rich in history and culture.
In a world where permanence is an illusion, this explores the delicate balance between form and space, rigidity and fluidity, structure and nature. Temporary Structures explores how fashion reflects these same dynamics.
By exploring the impermanence of structures, the project becomes a metaphor for existence itself—how we shape our world, dismantle and rebuild it, and how, untimately, it is the temporary that leaves the most enduring impression.
