Sean Johnson is a photographer and educator based in Columbus, NE. He earned his B.F.A. in Photography and Printmaking from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2015. He has been featured nationally and internationally, online, and in print. His work explores concepts of home and relationships.
About ‘slightly/pretty close‘:
Slightly/pretty close is an ongoing series I began as a means to document my everyday life. It’s a chance to show my emotions in a time where I’ve been hiding them. It’s also a chance to connect said emotions with the cultural and physical landscape around me. In these images, a new version of my surroundings is pieced together, a more honest version where my emotions are front and center.
