Rachel Seidu ( born May, 1997, Lagos) is a Photographer based in Lagos. She is very keen about storytelling in her works, and explores this through Street/ Documentaries and conceptual Portraitures. She aims to challenge stereotypes with her art, and stir up conversations, as well as breaking gender norms for men and women— to produce unconventional photo stories that are understandable and relatable to a broader audience.

Rachel’s photographs allow you to travel between nature and culture. She mixes portraits and Nigerian nature to tell the story of her environment and her country. Images full of symbolism in which she captures the fragility of man and his tenderness trying to understand their personality in depth. Rachel uses her art to rewrite collective visual history and change the social landscape of her Nigeria.
