Older is a Danish/Italian design company with a multidisciplinary practice, founded by Letizia Caramia and Morten Thuesen. It is specialized in sustainable uniforms that expand the architectural spaces in which they are worn, and radical furniture designs that investigate contemporary culture. All the pieces are manufactured by Italian ad European artisans in a non-industrial manner. The studio aims to constantly push the boundaries of design, architecture, art, and conscious thinking.
We had the chance to interview and shoot Letizia and Morten in their home/workspace, which is a mirror of their multidisciplinary practice. A place where innovation can happen, producing elements that they try out in an experimental way on themselves. Everything started from a good idea. Creating uniforms when a uniform brand didn’t exist yet was quite difficult, not knowing how far they could push it. With their pieces, they try to break down the walls of the common way of working, proposing also a new way of thinking. Good ideas are supposed to last for a long time.
