Pelle Cass says about himself:
“I live in Brookline, Massachusetts, and this is part of a series of composite self-portraits I’m working on. I’ve exhibited and published a lot, but I’m always looking for more.”
About ‘Crowded Fields‘:
For many years the artist has attended several American college sports events, sitting there for about 2, 3 hours and collecting thousands of shots, which are then condensed into a single image that contains all the moments immortalized.
Thus was born the photographic series, Crowded Fields, a slow motion applied to images obtained with the overlapping of thousands of Photoshop levels in post production, in which each athlete, each movement finds its space without creating visual chaos, a different summary of a sports competition that we never remember every single moment, rather only the most important ones.
