In the contemporary fashion landscape, the collaboration between Japanese brand FACETASM and the Danish-Italian duo OLDER emerges as a visionary experiment blending tailoring, streetwear, and architectural design. Their new uniform capsule is not just an aesthetic expression but a true bridge between the pragmatism of workwear and the individuality of fashion.
Founded by Hiromichi Ochiai in 2007, FACETASM is known for its experimental approach to fashion, characterized by bold volumes, asymmetries, and unexpected textures. OLDER, on the other hand, specializes in tailoring uniforms for architectural and gastronomic contexts, with a strictly sustainable supply chain. In this collaboration, FACETASM’s aesthetic deconstruction meets OLDER’s formal precision, resulting in a collection that redefines the concept of the uniform with an urban and contemporary language.
The capsule will be unveiled in three key fashion capitals. During Milan Fashion Week, the uniforms will be showcased in two iconic spaces. At Terroir, a renowned gourmet grocery store, and Sandì, a design-focused bistro housed in a 1960s bakery designed by Parasite 2.0. Here, the staff will wear pieces from the collection, allowing visitors to see them in action by booking a table or simply stopping by for a coffee. As a special touch, guests will receive a cold-pressed juice from Terroir, perfect for navigating the intensity of Fashion Week. In April 2025, the collection will be presented in Tokyo with an intimate event that will highlight FACETASM’s deep connection with its urban and cultural landscape. Furthermore, OLDER will make its retail debut in Paris, where, for the first time, its uniforms will be available for direct purchase at the Tora Tora showroom, marking a shift from traditional B2B distribution to the B2C market. The uniforms will be sold as sartorial pieces enriched with industrial and functional details, merging the concept of clothing and object.
The OLDER x FACETASM collection transcends the classic concept of uniforms, transforming them into a style statement that blends identity, functionality, and experimentation. Through this collaboration, workwear evolves into a wearable form of art, demonstrating how fashion can be both expressive and utilitarian. Combining the rigor of architecture, the energy of streetwear, and sartorial sustainability, OLDER and FACETASM chart a new direction in contemporary uniforms, turning the everyday into something extraordinary.
