About ‘A small pool of white light’ – words by Jesse Boyd-Reid:

The images in the project “A small pool of white light”, which is an ongoing project, focus on the tender moments of family life. The photographs portray scenes of intimacy, belief, ceremony and stillness that his family has allowed him to document (and at times restage) in an effort to understand the range of experiences that make up their lives. Through the collation of these portraits, still lifes and landscapes, an intimate monograph of family life is woven together. This series of images point to a communion of spirits and a sharing of a life; a life enriched by community and connection.
