My practice focuses on staging reality and elevating the everyday. At first glance, this series of images portrays completely normal scenes. Under closer inspection though, the viewer may notice slight anomalies that have been put in place in an attempt to deceive him or her. In an age when we are forced to question the legitimacy of our images because of the use of digital manipulation or artificial intelligence, this story adopts similar tendencies through the use of props, different poses, and changing points of view. While we want to question what is seen, we do not conceal the method used but reveal the “trick” in the course of the story.
