Casa Piana is a gem located fifteen minutes from the sea, right in the heart of the historic center of Nardò, a small town just a few kilometres from Lecce that reflects the baroque style of Salento almost as much as the Puglia region chief town.

The owner, Alessio Manca, is also the manager of Masseria Moroseta and the entire Moroseta Homes complex. A person who cares about hospitality he didn’t betray his background by welcoming us and making us feel at ease from the first moment of our stay.

An old palace located in the historic center, renovated in respect of the historical architecture, Casa Piana represents the perfect stay for those who want to live an authentic experience in the heart of Salento, in a stunning region like Puglia. The accommodation consists of a cozy living room and two bedrooms both equipped with bathrooms. On the rooftop, the finely renovated kitchen is surrounded by a terrace that offers a view of the entire historic town center.

The strategic location allowed me to explore the nearby areas. From Nardò I ventured to the surrounding beaches and I especially loved Tricase Marina, where I had lunch at Taverna del Porto, a place out of time that seems to have been scenographed by Dante Spinotti. Then, I visited Santa Maria al Bagno, easily reachable in ten minutes from Nardò. A fascinating place with a Caribbean-colored beach. I couldn’t miss a detour to Lecce where, as usual, I breathed the history of Puglia, immersing myself in the lush Salentine baroque.

An ironic aspect of the stay is that my parents accompanied me. On the occasion of my mother’s 70th birthday, I decided to take her with me on this trip that turned out to be a remarkable journey out of time, also enjoying a season free from mass tourism. Casa Piana responds to the charm that distinguishes the best facilities in Salento, which we highly recommend for a quiet yet fashionable stay.
