Questions On is the video interview format created by C41. Three are the ‘simple’ questions asked initially to the three curators, and later to the 14 photographers, who created and took part in the contemporary photography exhibition.

The fourth episode is with Kapturing, a Fashion Photo and Videographers Duo, based in Germany and everywhere. It is beauty they believe in. They devote their esthetic intuition and their personal vision to the pursuit of visual beauty. Artistic quality and visual pleasure are the guiding principles of their photography and video productions.

You can watch it on the C41 YouTube channel and also read it below.

1.Over the years, how has the mentality of fashion photography changed?

I think photography at all, not just fashion photography, is a view of the society at all, so I think the fashion photography now tries to show how the society is now, it’s more real, is more close don’t follow these stereotypes about the beauty that in the 90s o you used to follow now fashion photography is a little bit more open for everything what is happening here And in the end fashion photography as well it’s like a market and fashion photographers for example like us we are producing pictures for the fashion market and we need to show people somehow as well things they really want to see in terms of they are interested in like people want to see like real  beauties not like staged or perfect bodies it’s more about how we can find beautiness in this world in this movement. Beauty is everywhere

2.What makes photography contemporary art is perhaps the mix of languages, it is the lack of boundaries between one tool and another and the dialogue between different media. But when does photography really become contemporary art?

Being after you make a picture depends how you see how your photography is the but for us by example that our photography how do you beat more dreamy it’s not like so establish it in the realness that we are right now it was more like a dreamy world for us is from this point a contemporary art because we are like in the modern times. So depends from the viewer you see like the photography as an art or use each other’s the photography as medium. I think for us, I mean we studied art, but photography is just somehow like the media we are using to show people how we see the world is more for us as artists is more like a tool we use to to show how we see the world and we don’t think so much about how it will be considered after or how people call it after it’s more about how we can connect maybe how we can draw a picture of things we maybe just have in our mind.

3.One of the fastest sectors is slowing down, aesthetics is changing just as beauty standards are changing. What do you think is the future of fashion photography?

I think the future of fashion photography is maybe or the future of art it’s much more digital than before and maybe photography and video installation and different types of media’s are mixing more than before. The future is least tough but I think is will be for sure different as you are used to because their number for sure is first we will be different that the fashion photography that you know from now. I think fashion photography will become more social in a way because you are thinking more about where your clothes are made for wear your clothes are made from, where your closest the materials are becoming, so I think the world is becoming more social so fashion photography and if you should be more social not just like these kind of dream expensive world that they sell us that fashion photography. Fashion photography to be more conscious and I hope also that will be more for sustainable also for for for the world it sounds a little bit cliche but I think like they new generations are more conscious about what they want is so like in such photography is also going in this in this direction.

We are like surrounded by so many pictures day by day maybe fashion photography like everything that we can see on our cell phones, or in like TV screen, or wherever needs to be like you need to find a way to hit people in their heads like it’s not that easy to create something that is really like to getting the attention of the people maybe this will be the challenge for the future.
