The 21st edition of C2C Festival is yet another flagship of Turin-based Associazione Culturale Situazione Xplosiva. A network of venues across Turin lights up to present the coolest names of the avant-pop and electronic music scenes with no spatial limits in terms of talents and audience’s provenience. C2C is a truly international festival acclaimed by all over the world.

On November 2nd, 2023 OGR Torino welcomed 3000 people to kick off the four-day-long festival supported by the Title Partner adidas Originals.

As the nineteenth-century industrial location opens the doors to the first comers, the atmosphere thickens, and energies start flowing connecting the first music beats and the bodies through which to flow.

Italian DJ Riccardo Patrone–aka Reptilian Expo–known in the country for being a resident at Radio Raheem since 2021, heats up the vibes with his alchemic sounds coming straight out of dance subcultures.

People start crowding closely to the stage, attracted by the magnetism of the iridescent adidas Originals stage, while proudly wearing their differing styles, quite often marked by adidas sneakers or apparel: a true clubber’s starter pack. C2C is not just the music scene it gathers around, but also the people and diversity of styles talking of cultures and subcultures.

Then comes to the stage Brooklyn-based musician Rachika Nayar, who adds yet another layer of mysticism to the opening night, leading the listers’ minds to flow in a cinematic nocturnal trip reminiscent of post-rock and Midwestern emo.

Model/Actriz made it all the way from North America too. The spirit of punk rock, a bit of an unexpected choice for C2C assortment is a surprise that gets the audience excited and pumped up. Take the band’s rough and noisy attitude, which give a nod to Irish contemporary bands such as Fontaines D.C., Murder Capital, and Gilla Band.

Caroline Polachek‘s DJ set meshes up the mood driving back to pop, lush sounds, entertaining with her fascinating aesthetics, elegance, and powerful presence, teasing the public and making them thirst for her live at Lingotto venue on November 3rd.

Last but not least, the closing of the party sees Spiritual Sauna as a guest. Spiritual Sauna is Giad/Rapala700 and Virginia W, a club night for lovers of freak and mysticism. Born into a musical family and raised in the queer area of Porta Venezia Milan area, Sauna began its career in 2018. A weird and sexy combination of ‘angel’ music and experimental clubbing tones to sooth the adrenaline levels of those who stayed up till the very end of a grand opening event at C2C 2023.
