This year’s C2C sees adidas Originals as the Title Partner for the two events set at OGR Torino on Thursday, November 2nd, and Sunday 5th.
C2C is the largest indoor music festival in Italy, included for the second year in a row by the influential music magazine Pitchfork in the list of the 30 best festivals of the year. For the first time ever, adidas Originals is partnering with the two C2C events at OGR Torino during the prestigious context of Turin’s Contemporary Art Week. The Originals’ spirit of adidas merges with that of C2C for two adrenaline-fuelled nights marked by the energy that has always distinguished the ‘Trifoglio’ (the word stands for ‘clover’, adidas’ logo, Ed.) and the Festival. adidas explores musical creativity and youth culture, bringing its unmistakable style to both the dancefloor and stage.
The Grand Opening on November 2nd features American artist Caroline Polachek for an exclusive DJ set in the post-industrial setting of OGR Torino. Joining her on stage at Sala Fucine will be the quartet Model/Acrtiz, guitarist and composer Rachika Nayar and Spiritual Sauna.
The finissage, scheduled for Sunday, November 5th, is instead featuring on stage the Turin-based collective Gang of Ducks, which will celebrate 10 years of activity with four shows: Azu Tiwaline & Cinna Peyghamy, Gang of Ducks Soundsystem, Francesca Heart & Regno Maggiore, Upsammy & Jonathan Castro.
C2C is one of the most highly regarded avant-pop music festivals in the world. Its history has seen performances by, among others: Aphex Twin, Flying Lotus, Franco Battiato, James Blake, Junun ft. Jonny Greenwood, Shye Ben Tzur & The Rajasthan Express, Kode9, Kraftwerk, Nicolas Jaar, SOPHIE, Thom Yorke. The Festival’s new visual identity is designed by Studio Grand Hotel, a Turin-based graphic design studio established in 2020. The visual system uses the Metodo font, designed in Turin by Davide Tomatis and published by Optimo in 2021.
